Privacy policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

Who is responsible

FXPatternLab is operated by MACRO RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIES LTD, registered in England and Wales (company number 17301851). For privacy questions or requests, email support@macroresearchtechnologies.co.uk.

Scope and detailed policy

This page summarises the current native app on iOS and Android. The detailed app privacy policy explains the processing, service providers, retention criteria, international transfers and rights in full. Features and controls may depend on the app version, platform and service availability.

Information used by the app

No email or password is required. Connected features create or retain a private Firebase service identity for access protection, preferences, membership verification and deletion requests. It is separate from your Apple or Google store account. Older installations may retain an existing identity.

We process membership status, product and transaction references, verification results, notification preferences, device push tokens and notification history to provide connected features. Apple or Google handles payment; FXPatternLab does not collect your full card number or bank payment details. Infrastructure requests may include IP addresses, app and device information, timestamps and security or error records. We receive your email address and message if you contact support.

Drawings and chart layouts stay on your device. Favourites, watchlists, Study bookmarks and notes, and cached charts are also device-local in the current native app. These are separate from server-held notification preferences and records. Cross-device drawing synchronisation is not provided.

If you create a price alert, we store its pair, timeframe, level and direction on our servers so it can be checked at each candle close while the app is closed. Price alerts expire after 30 days, or earlier if you delete them. If you follow a recorded case, we store which case you follow and the last stage you were notified about. Both are linked to your private service identity and removed when the alert, follow or associated service data is deleted.

Optional analytics and crash reporting

Usage analytics and crash reporting are separate choices and are off by default. You can change them in More > Privacy & data. Declining either does not restrict Free or Member access. If enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase processes usage events, resettable app-instance identifiers and basic app/device information; Firebase Crashlytics processes crash diagnostics and app/device information. Debug builds do not send these optional reports.

Custom analytics events do not deliberately include account IDs, purchase proofs, drawings, chart content or notification text. App Analytics advertising storage, advertising user-data and advertising-personalisation consent remain denied; the analytics switch does not grant advertising consent. Eligible store measurement and linked Google Ads reporting follow the applicable choices and platform rules. Turning a choice off stops future optional collection, but does not automatically erase information already received by Google. Contact support about historical information.

Free-tier advertising

Eligible Free sessions may display non-personalised Google AdMob banner ads in supported builds, subject to Google's User Messaging Platform privacy choices. Member access has no ads. Advertising may process device/app identifiers, approximate location, IP/network information, diagnostics and ad interactions for delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Non-personalised does not mean no data is processed.

Advertising choices are separate from the analytics and crash-reporting switches. Where available, revisit Ad Privacy Choices in the app. The app does not request precise GPS location or access to the iOS advertising identifier. Declining optional consent does not remove chart entitlement. See the detailed policy for SDK disclosures and applicable regional choices.

Purposes, legal bases and providers

We process necessary service information to provide requested connected features and verify membership; proportionate service, security and support records serve our legitimate interests in reliability, abuse prevention and support. Optional analytics and crash reporting rely on consent. Legal obligations may require particular records to be retained or disclosed.

Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide service infrastructure; Google AdMob and UMP support permitted advertising and privacy choices; Apple and Google operate their stores and notification services. Providers may process information internationally, including in the United States. The detailed policy explains the applicable transfer safeguards and how to request more information. Market observations are educational, not personalised trading advice.

Retention and deletion

Service records are kept for their operational, support, security or legal purpose. The detailed policy sets out the criteria for membership references, encrypted Google recovery tokens, analytics, crash reports and provider backups. We do not promise immediate deletion of every backup or store record.

Use More > Privacy & data > Delete service data, where available, and Check deletion status to confirm completion. An accepted or pending request is not proof that cleanup has finished. Eligible cleanup removes associated service records, registered devices and notification history, subject to any applicable legal, dispute or security retention exception. Clear device-only content separately. For an external request, use the FXPatternLab deletion instructions.

Deleting service data, clearing local data, uninstalling and cancelling a subscription are separate actions. Cancel through the purchasing store to stop future renewals. A deletion request does not cancel a subscription or issue a refund.

Your rights and contact

Depending on your location, you may ask to access, correct, export, restrict or erase your personal information, and withdraw optional consent. You may separately object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email support@macroresearchtechnologies.co.uk. We may need proportionate information to verify ownership of a private service record; a store account alone does not identify it. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. FXPatternLab is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

Updates

We will update the date on this page if these practices change materially. The company website privacy page separately explains this website's cookies and measurement.
